Home Visits
Home visits are essential and very convenient for students to avoid disturbing their study routine. The home visit also allows the opportunity for parents to sit in on the session should they so wish to. This is advised particularly on the feedback session so both parents and students have a clear focus of the next steps to take.
Session 1: (approx 30 mins)
- Introduction to student – taking a look at the subjects students are currently undertaking and what points they are aiming for.
- Brief chat with students – explaining the process of how we can help them and any current ideas they might have on courses to study.
- Study Skills – Information on study techniques and study skills
- Psychometric test – students are left to complete the test online in the comfort of their own home
Session 2: (approx 60 mins)
- Feedback and results of Personality test – an in-depth look at the perfect career to suit the student’s personality
- A full in depth look at courses open to the student in the Career areas of choice
- Look at all courses in this area in Ireland and UK
- Full information on the “Back Door” into courses in case desired points are not achieved
- Any questions answered
This is an informal and relaxed yet professional way of helping students choose the right course to suit their personality Students have responded really well to the 2 session process and have been left with an excellent focus before the exams of exactly what they need to achieve and exactly what they want to do after school.
The client will be left with 2 Full reports to refer back to.
- The first report is the results from the personality/career test.
- The second is a full report on all college courses suited to them as well as the appropriate study techniques to use.
